Watch stunning fly-overs of the Venezuelan tepuis while Jason is en route to Canaima in search of Dendrobates leucomelas. The habitat is precariously situated in the middle of savannah, with the frogs living in hot and dry forest islands. This video shows calling males and courting behavior, and is a must see for anyone that keeps this species, as the habitat is much drier than one might think.

Witness courting behavior in wild R. variabilis. These frogs courted continuously for several hours and over a large distance, and fortunately, a camera was at hand to document it all!
